Build a palette that holds together.

Harmony rules place colors at fixed angles on the color wheel. Analogous schemes sit close together for a calm, cohesive feel; complementary and triadic schemes pull colors apart for contrast and energy.

Locking is how you steer the generator. Found a hero color? Lock it and keep shuffling — every new palette will be built to work around the colors you kept.

Lightness range matters as much as hue. Each palette is laid out from light to dark so you always have a usable background, a mid-tone, and an accent instead of five colors at the same brightness.

When it is ready, copy the hex codes, export CSS custom properties, or grab the share link — the palette is encoded in the URL, so anyone you send it to opens the exact same scheme.

How does the color palette generator work?
Pick a harmony rule and the generator builds a balanced scheme around a base hue. Press Generate (or the spacebar) to shuffle new colors. Lock any swatch to keep it while the rest reshuffle.
What color harmonies are supported?
Auto, analogous, monochromatic, complementary, split-complementary, triadic, and tetradic. Each rule uses classic color-wheel angles so the palette stays cohesive.
Can I copy or export the palette?
Yes. Click any swatch to copy its hex, copy the whole palette as hex codes, or export CSS custom properties. Each palette also gets a shareable URL.
Can I edit individual colors?
Yes. Open any swatch to fine-tune it with a color picker or type an exact hex value, then lock it so it survives the next shuffle.
Does it run for free without an account?
Yes. The generator runs entirely in your browser. There is no sign-up, and nothing is sent to a server.
